Step 1: Get out the mixer to make cookies. Search through toy box for
beaters. Return to find three "assistants" ages 5, 2, and 1 eagerly awaiting
your return on three chairs assembled at the cookie construction site. Scoot
chairs apart enough o get to the cabinet.
Step 2: Get out cookie recipe. Put two ingredients in bowl, remove hands of
helper No. 3. Return to find hands of helper No. 2 in bowl. Clean hands of
helper No. 2.
Step 3: Send helper No. 1 to refrigerator for eggs. Add next ingredient.
Clean egg off floor while alternately adding other eggs to mixture as helper
No. 2 vigorously cracks them.

in new and creative order. Put recipe box back in cabinet where it should
have been.

No. 1 with flour. Clean off cabinet, floor & helpers.
Step 7: Helper No. 2 screams that she wants the chair that helper No. 1 is
on. Helper No. 1 screams that he wants to be on the chair that helper No. 3
is occupying. Helper No. 3 just screams. PROVIDER SCREAMS! Children look
shocked.
Step 8: Add next ingredients. Get out chocolate chips. HANDS EVERYWHERE!
Add what chips remain to cookie mixture. Helper No. 3 covered with chocolate
from head to toe. LAUGH (or should that be cry?). Put cookies on cookie
sheet from 3 spoons in different sizes and shapes. Put cookies in oven.
Step 9: Time to clean the kitchen. Helpers DISAPPEAR!
Step 10: Eat 3 dozen cookies to calm nerves
